Manuel is full of CRAP, he came on the radio last week saying he was gonna give some save ops. to the rookie from double aa, yet he keeps getting bit in the ass, by a.heilman. this is a BD loss, the phils will win the div, because they dont lose games like this..the later it gets withthe mets trailing philly, the worse it will be, as the choke from last season has its psychological affects this year.Im not a big manuel fan anyway, so if he blows it maybel theyll bring in Lee Mazzilli, he fits the lou pinella mike sciosia mold.Comment

Bullpen is a joke. Instead of giving Kunz the job while Wags is out, Manuel redefined roles and continues to give the ball in big spots to Heilman, who continues to choke on it. Kunz would have done no worse than any other of the clowns they bring in every night.
Wags has not been reliable, he has no one to pitch the 8th inning when Wags is healthy and he is relying on specialists (Smith, Felician and Schoenweiss) to get both lefties and righties...and they can't do it.
As bad as they have been, and having had a half-dozen devastating losses in the past month, I can't believe they are still within striking distance. But they won't win the East if they continue to lose games to shit teams that are more interested in getting out of town than beating them yet they hand them the game.

What a ridiculous comment! You're right! I read in the NY papers after each and every Mets and Yanks home game about some fan getting killed or beat for wearing the opponent jersey.Originally posted by goldencontender
I've gone to 100s of sporting events in NY. The one and only time I saw any serious fighting was at an Islanders/Flyers game. There was a brawl in the parking lot after the game. Fans might taunt the opposing fan but rarely is there really any trouble. Most fights involve too much beer. Having little to do what jersey the combatants are wearing.
I was at the Giants/Bucs playoff game. Early in the game, when the Bucs dominated there was lots of taunting. After the game I saw more than one Bucs fan challenging Giants fans to a fight because the Giants fan was celebrating.Comment
