As expected the Marlins had their win last night vs Zambrano but they get a lot of home run "practice swings" in tonight whiffing on Priors pitches. Penny has been lit up this year and MUST come out matching Prior which is improbable at best. An early lead of any kind tonight for the Cubs will doom the Florida comeback unless they get another crack at the sieve bullpen of the Cubs. Other problem is the Cubs will be in the Marlins earlier and without much incentive to protect a deficit Florida may rest the arms. Perhaps a TOTALS play is in order here as well.
The Yanks taking on a tired and traveled Sox team who were barely a couple games over 500 on the road for the year anyway facing a rested Yankee staff and hitters should make for a yawner for the Yankmes tonight. Red Sox hold the slimest of chances if the Stripes decide to return to their bumbling ways on defense again but that is doubtful given this rivalry.
