Most of you know that I rarely play totals, but I have been eyeing this one, waiting for the totals to be posted. The totals were just posted and this number is right about where I thought it would be....
5 STAR: OVER 70 TEXAS TECH VS. Iowa State
Don't let the big 70 number scare you. Texas Tech has been over 70 in 4 of their 5 games this season, the only game that was under was against offensively challenged SMU and that game ended with 68 total points. In fact, 14 of Tech's last 19 games have gone for 70 or more points. Texas Tech has been "over" in all games this season and Iowa State has been "over" in all but one. Oklahoma torched the Iowa State secondary last week and BJ Symmons and Company will do the same this week. Tech should score at least 75% of the points needed for this "over" by themselves, and Iowa State will also get their share against the Tech "D". Tech is a team that will look to run up the score in any game, but they may look to do it even more in this one, because this is the homecoming game! I advise you to get on this ASAP because I only expect the number to rise. It should not matter, because I see this game being played in the upper 80's or low 90's but obviously the lower number you get the better. I'll be adding this play to my NCAA Football thread for this weekend.
Good luck,
John
