Pinella why not intentionally walk Lee with 1st base open? Or at least tell Howry to make him hit a pitcher pitch. If you walk him so be it. Don't give him a batting practice fastball right in his sweet spot.

My only thought is that with Berkman on the bench, he may have figured Berkman would have pinch hit, and walking Lee puts the go ahead run on base. Who knows with Sweet Lou.
