Can someone explain something to me. I am unclear how the Free Agent Plan A/Plan B or type or whatever they call it thing works. So lets say the Yanks do not resign and another club signs the following (dont know why, but lets say they do):

Abreu
Pudge
Giambi
Sexson
Pettitte
Mussina

And lets say two are considered Plan A and four are considered Plan B. Do the yanks get like 8 draft picks or something?

Man besides Sheets, CC, Texeira, Blalock and K Rod that is a list full of old ass garbage.

Free agency A/B depends on a players worth and production and if his old team offers him arbitration and he refuses or something...the 5 players I named above will defintely be A players and get their old teams 2 first round compensation picks.

I dont think what I just explained is 100% accurate but I think it is pretty close.
