Nice to see us take the 1-2 punch of CC and Sheets and do as well as we're doing so far.

But if we don't follow it up with at least one more win and or a sweep, total disappointment.

he's been amazing on a short leash. they are pulling him early to save him for later instead of working him to death and having little to nothing in September and more importantly october.

They are a WAYYYY Better team that St Louis IMO

I dont have a clue how St. Lou has done it this year - credit Larussa and Duncan I guess -- who would have thought Loshe, Wellenmeyer ( a cubs bullpen regect !! ) and Looper would have years that they are having

Milwaukee has a great offense and with CC , Sheets , and Parra a solid starting 3 - the need a bulpen and a coach

although their line - up reminds me of the cubs in past years -- homer or strike out -- cubs have way more consitant hitters

Harden has performed as expected, if he's able to stay healthy through the end of the season he will be the best #2 in the league, and zambrano can beat anybody. Harden has always had great numbers against the NL and the wins will come once he gets a little run support. Pinella is doing the right thing by keeping harden on a pitch count, I think Melvin is showing how durable CC but hes risking a lot by keeping him out there for 120 pitches and how weak his bullpen is with the 3 CG's in 5 starts.

Yeah im loving the fact I have mlbtv, miller park definitely has a playoff atmosphere right now im suprised how many cubs fans are at the game.

I picked the cubs today and had a gooood feeling about them but didnt pull the trigger

This is going to be a really good 3 team NL Central race, Carpenter coming back for the cards will give the pitching a much needed boost, but they could use bullpen help like everyone else.

Was at the Cubs game on Sunday. When it was 5-0 FL, the Brewers were also winning 4-1. It was looking like the Cubs were goin to be going into the series back one game, with Sabathia and Sheets going 1 and 2. What a turnaround...Cubs end up winning, Brewers end up losing, and the Cubs take the first two games!!

Now you realize why i've been so calm.


But you got to take it for what it is.....We beat their top two pitchers and quite honestly, the brewers don't look near ready for playoff baseball right now. Maybe that has something to do with the quality of opponent....maybe it's just luck.

Whatever the case, if the Cubs don't win at least one more of the two, i'm very disappointed.

They are playing great right now, finally getting more and more healthy, with the exception of Wood....and i don't even want to talk about him for god sake. he needs to be put out of his misery.

Brewers look like a AAA team last night. they are quite lucky it's still july IMO.
