The perfect example came last Saturday at Anaheim when he pitched six scoreless innings before allowing all four runs in the bottom of the seventh of a 4-2 loss. The one thing he does have going for him is a history of tremendous run support when he pitches against the Yankees. Beckett is 5-1 lifetime vs. New York with an inflated 5.75 ERA, including three wins this season as the Red Sox outscored the Yanks by a 17-12 margin.
Red Sox are 40-11 in their last 51 home games.
