B, but depends on a few things:

              1) What's my current financial status?

              and

              2) What sport are we talking about? (guaranteed money?)

with the price of fuel I'd have to go with 3

No j/k, probably 2, would want to try and get that ring and be a part of history.

1.How much money do you need, compared to giving your kids a steady life,ie same school and friends for life?

I think for me (assuming it was not the Red Sox-no amount of money could lure me away from them), the most important things would be if I was happy with the present team 2)if I were single as opposed to being married with kids, 3) how long I had played on present team,,4) how old I was and 5) whether I had ever been part of a championship team before.
To take two extremes, if I was married with kids, happy on the team I was presently playing on, had been with the team for a number of years, my family was happy, had won a championship already with this team, I would probably stay.
On the other hand, if I were older with only a few years to play, had never won a championshiop, single, no kids, happy with the team but felt I had a better chance to win a championship with another team offering the same money, I might be tempted to leave.
Obviously the cases stated above are extreme;the point is that the question is complex, and I myself cannot give a snap answer(although in vote, all things considered, I would stay with the present team).

If its your first free agent deal I say take the money....if its not your big payday then stay with current team unless current team is bad and you are a seasoned vet then sign with the contender...all 3 make sense.

                        PEACE
