PAPI---the "DEAN" was indeed agood sportswriter, my local paper in Louisisna, used to copy his write ups, and publish em in their sports section.....
I didn't follow him nearly as close as you (he's local there), but I do remember his writings.....
I understand he was a "better" person, than a writer, if that's possible....He lived to be a ripe 81.....
Sports Writers today ought to take a lesson from him concentrate on Sports achievements, and lay off the negativity.....
