Got a little full of myself on hot streak, and it caught up with me yesterday. A very humbling lesson, one I have learned many times, but never really learned, or it wouldn't keep happening.
1-3 on posted plays , but lost a small fortune on unposted plays.
Not one to whine about misfortunes, as I was on the right side of Lady Luck a few times on my run, but some balancing out occurred yesterday. in the form of Houston and Arizona 9th inning collapses.
But I digress............
Tonight, it is:
Bal/Tor OVER 10
Minn +120
Cub -130
CWS/Tex Over 9.5
I like a lot more games , but after a big losing day like yesterday, one must crawl before walking. May dip my toe into the water to test the temperature, before rebuilding the old bankroll.
Also like, but not going to play:
Hou/Pitt Over 10.5 ( These two starters are horrific, and have absolutely no business being in the bigs, esp Houston starter....watch this guy-I'll be shocked if he lasts 4 innings.)
Oak/TB Under 7.5 Kazmir very beatable of late, and 7.5 a very low number, but I have been milking A's unders so hard to make a call here.
Ari/Cub Over 8 Snakes pen and Cubs offense make this tempting, but Harden could be unhittable for 6 or 7 and make it hard to reach.
Big card, and I prefer playing UNDERs, especially on Monday, but two OVERs made the final cut, good luck to all my BC brethren.
Also, a final thought : If you feel you are being victimized by bullpens, as you may be, why not try betting 1st five innings. If you are capping starters, 95% of the time a true result will come from 1st half bets, IMO, right or wrong. If the pen is involved already by then, something has gone wrong anyway.
PS Headed to Saratoga Wed-Mon for first visit there. ANy tips on the area would be appreciated.
