WoW! Just saw it on channel 13 news, really makes you wonder if that wasn't a paid call. I think the fix was in on that game!
Nothing is as far away as one minute ago.

Just seen it on Sportscentre...one of the worst calls in baseball I have ever seen...maybe the ump had a brain cramp and made the "out" signal by reaction but really meant to wave his arms "safe" but could not go back on it..
SOBER SINCE MARCH 28TH OF 2007!!!

Don't laugh, the announcers said the same thing. It's like he knew he fucked up right away but wouldn't change it. It cost Boston the lead and changed the whole game.

And its not like the ump's view was blocked or anything.
Its almost as if he was "asleep at the wheel."
There have been controversial calls over the years in all sports, but there was no contorversy call in this case; the ump was the only out of the thousands in the stands and watching on tv who somehow saw the play differently.

I read this story years ago about an umpire (one of the old timers, big name guy) who told a the story that he was the second base umpire and a visiting player was on his way to second and it was a close play, the umpire gave the out signal but yelled safe, the runner popped up and said which one is it
the umpire said son you know you were safe and i know you are safe but those 50,000 fans in the stands saw me call you out sorry but you are out. True story i just can't remember who it was.

It's worse then the StL /KC.bad call. Was at my poker game and our play stopped when we saw that on sportscenter. All of us laughed and were amazed at how terrible the call was.

For those of you who saw the minor league manager go off his rocker thursday nite, it was after the third bad call in two innings. I was there and it was hilarious.

Jeffrey Mayer reaching over and grabbing the ball from fair play costing the Orioles the series in 1995.

Everyone knew the call was bad even the yankees.

Well, Baltimore got the last laugh when they drafted the kid a few years ago.
                                Good Luck to everyone

Richie: [after Gus hits a homerun] Wow and he did it without steroids.
                                Clark: What's steroids?
Richie: Something that makes your pee-pee smaller.
Clark: There must be steroids in macaroni!
