The only problem w/ all of this is if GB really says that they dont want him to start for them.......THEY WERE 1 PLAY FROM THE SUPER BOWL LAST YEAR! Why wouldnt they want him back?

If Rodgers cries like a bitch, then trade him and Brohm is your future guy.

Favre to Jordy Nelson would be sick.

He still plays the position with passion and he still always gives you hope in every game. As a fan of the NFL, how can you hate this guy? Seriously?? He changed his mind, and he is still alot of fun to watch. He has not been a trouble maker or anything else during his career and he has been great for the league. What gives? Why so much hatred towards the guy from some?? I really don't get it.
Because this is not the first year he's done this. It gets old. If you are contemplating retirement give it a few months and shut your fucking mouth.

Why would the Ravens be 'stupid' to bring Favre in for a year and let Flaco sit a year on the bench. It's a great fit for Ravens and Favre.

Dont forget football is a business. Favre has a right to unretire, and that will make him a Packer again. The Packers have the rights to sit his ass on bench behind Rodgers.

I dont see how one superbowl ring in 16 years makes you this great a qb. I've seen him make alot of bonehead plays.

As you can tell he has cost me alot of bets in years past!!!

Dan Marino has zero rings. Was he not a great QB? Trent Dilfer has 1 ring. Does that make him as great as Favre? C'mon ... the guy was a great QB and he re-wrote many records. Did he look like shit at times? Sure, but that was how he played. He also made plays i couldn't believe, playing the way he did.

All I'm saying is that people talk about him like he was the greatest qb ever and he only has one ring in 16 years. By the way I'm not that big on Marino either (cant move).

Well, to be honest, i was never a big Marino fan either. I don't know, besides being a fan of the Patriots, i'm a bigger fan of the NFL and Favre left me with many memories. I thought he was great last year and i don't see any reason why he couldn't do it again. The guy ran around during his whole career playing football on the fly and like it was in the backyard. You never knew where or when he was going to let it fly. I thought he was always really exciting to watch and i still don't get all of the anger here. He changed his mind again. So what?

You are right - they cannot afford to let him sign with Minnesota or Chicago. They will have to find a trade for him..

But is he trying to be? The guy loves the game and made a mistake by retiring. Why do we need to kill him for it. It doesn't affect me or my personal life so why should i care ... You know?

I agree with you. I think it would make for some good football if he came back and played for some other team then Green Bay.

I dont think Green Bay wants to be a young team with a old QB and I dont blame them, but they also dont want their star player for the last 16 years to go somewhere else to play. Green Bay is in a tough spot.

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The Green Bay Packers' general manager and coach say they don't plan to grant Brett Favre's request for his release.

GM Ted Thompson and coach Mike McCarthy told the Associated Press on Saturday that the star quarterback was welcome to rejoin the team but would have to be a backup.

It was their first public comments since Favre demanded his release this week. Favre held a tearful news conference to announce his retirement March 6.

Thompson and McCarthy did not want to discuss a possible trade. Thompson said he had not received any inquiries as of Saturday morning.

I guess this is the Packers way of deciding were he will go. Who want's Bret, and what are you willing to give up to get him.
