Baseball Matchups...i need some help?

I played Mauer(-110) vs JD Drew(-130) on total bases... I took Mauer and he got a hit, so i am up 1 - 0 ...and Drew is not playing....my question is does he has to start or just play or does it matter?? Since he didnt start i loaded up on Mauer thinking he would get 4 atbats...while Drew would only play as a pinch hitter?? Thanks for your input!!

Check the rules at your site, but I think both have to start.
