  • Beat the Streak

Hey guys anybody paying attention to that game on the internet run by MLB.com called beat the streak. I think i read it here a couple of months ago and i started playing the game. The best i ever did was a 12 game streak. But right now there is a guy starting tonight with a 46 game streak and tonight he has Ichiro and NO SUSPENSE ICHIRO get a hit his first at bat,now he is at 47 games 10 more and he wins 1,000,000 dollars. You think he has some interest in one game every night?

Wow he only needs ten more huh that is awesome...

I bet he is sweating bullets now...

You dont have to use a hitter everyday right? He can patiently wait and pick his next 10 spots whenever he feels throughout the rest of the season right?

No you must play everyday, but if you know somebody is not going to play that day you can pick him and if he does not play your streak is still alive, bad part there is if he pinch hits and does'nt get a hit your screwed.

Wow that makes it pretty tough...explains why you need to win 57 straight to get a million for sure then...

It's based on JOE DIMAGGIO'S 56 GAME HITTING STREAK. You pick a player everyday he gets a hit your streak continues he goes hitless you streak is over you go back to zero. You pick 57 in a row you win $1,000,000 dollars. Not easy beleive me.

That's how my 12 game streak ended.

He has HANLEY RAMIREZ tonight for #48. If you were at this stage would you watch the game? Me i don't think so.

The record is 49. It is going to get more stressful each night.

Imagine if Ramirez makes an out in 1st AB, or reaches on error, and is hurt on bases or in field and taken from the game.

                              Streak reset to ZERO

My longest streak is 8 and I played every day this season. It is harder than you think.
You can't always get what you want, but if you try some time, you might find, you get what you need.
