    Update

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Tips and Trends
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Texas Rangers at New York Yankees [YES | 7:05 PM ET]

Rangers: The Rangers are 7-3 in Kevin Millwood's last 10 starts but a lot of that has to do with Texas' offense scoring a lot of runs than it does Millwood's pitching performance. In his last 10 outings, Millwood has allowed five runs or more five times. Millwood got hammered his last time out against Houston, allowing 12 hits and seven runs in just five innings of work. The key number for Millwood in this game is 1-4. He's 1-4 lifetime against the Yankees and 1-4 on the road this season.

Rangers are 2-7 in their last 9 games following a win.
The UNDER is 8-3-1 in Texas' last 12 games overall.

Key Injuries - C Gerald Laird (.306; hamstring) is on the 15-day DL.

    PROJECTED SCORE: 3

Yankees (-210, O/U 9.5): Joba Chamberlain is really coming into his own as a starting pitcher. In his last 18.1 innings on the mound, Chamberlain has allowed just two runs. Overall, the Yankees are 4-1 in games Joba starts. He's 1-1 in three appearances at Yankee Stadium with a solid 2.96 ERA. After two straight UNDERS, Chamberlain's last start went OVER the total even though he pitched a shutout, thanks to the Yankees scoring 10 runs.

Yankees are 7-2 in their last 9 games following a win.
Yankees are 20-6 in the last 26 meetings.

Key Injuries - OF Hideki Matsui (.323; knee) is on the 15-day DL.

    PROJECTED SCORE: 5

Boston Red Sox at Tampa Bay Rays [NESN | 7:10 PM ET]

Red Sox: Tim Wakefield has given the Red Sox a lot of good outings this year, going seven innings his last five times out. Over that span, Wakefield has given up a respectful 10 runs in 35 innings of work. The knuckleballer has absolutely owned the Rays over his career, going a spectacular 19-3 with an ERA of 3.16. However, he's only 1-3 with an ERA of 4.37 in nine road starts this year. The OVER is 4-1 in Wakefield's last five starts.

Red Sox are 3-8 in their last 11 games as an underdog.
Red Sox are 7-2 in Wakefield's last 9 starts vs. Tampa Bay.

Key Injuries - OF Coco Crisp (.270; suspension) is OUT until July 3.

PROJECTED SCORE: 5 (Side Play of the Day)

Rays (-120, O/U 8.5): Matt Garza has done an exceptional job of giving the Rays a chance to win virtually every time he's stepped on the mound this year. Garza has allowed three runs or less eights times in his last 10 starts. Like most Rays hurlers, Garza is a stud at home, going 4-1 with a 2.51 ERA in seven starts at Tropicana Field. Don't expect many runs to be scored with Garza on the mound. The UNDER is 7-2-1 in his last 10 starts.

Rays are 26-7 in their last 33 games on turf.
The UNDER is 22-9-1 in Tampa Bay's last 32 home games.

Key Injuries - 2B Akinori Iwamura (.276; suspension) is expected to return.

    PROJECTED SCORE: 4

Milwaukee Brewers at Arizona Diamondbacks [9:40 PM ET]

Brewers: After pitching well for a large portion of the season, Jeff Suppan has fallen on hard times of late. In his last three outings, Suppan is 0-2, allowing 12 runs in just 14.2 innings pitched. Suppan has pitched much better at home than on the road where he's 2-5 with a lofty 5.73 ERA. In seven starts versus the Diamondbacks, Suppan is 2-3 with two no-decisions. In his last 10 starts, the UNDER is a decisive 8-2.

Brewers are 20-8 in their last 28 games on grass.
The UNDER is 7-2 in Milwaukee's last 9 games as an underdog.

Key Injuries - RP Eric Gagne (10 saves; shoulder) has been activated off the DL.

PROJECTED SCORE: 3 (UNDER - Total Play of the Day)

Diamondbacks (-130, O/U 9): It seems like 1999 since Randy Johnson actually won a game. In reality, it was May 18 but the Big Unit is a miserable 0-5 with two no-decisions since. In his last 30.1 innings pitched, Johnson has allowed 41 hits and 26 runs. The good news tonight for Arizona backers is Johnson has owned the Brewers in his career, going 18-8 with an ERA of 3.46. Even though he hasn't pitched well recently, the UNDER is still 7-1 in Johnson's last eight appearances.

Diamondbacks are 18-5 in Davis' last 23 home starts.
The OVER is 11-5-1 in Davis' last 17 starts overall.

Key Injuries - OF Eric Byrnes (.209; hamstring) is on the 15-day DL.

    PROJECTED SCORE: 4

Chicago Cubs at San Francisco Giants [WGN | 10:15 PM ET]

Cubs: After winning four straight starts, Jason Marquis was rocked his last time out, giving up seven runs to Baltimore in just four innings of work. Marquis has actually been hit hard in his last two outings, allowing 12 runs over 11 innings. He's bee solid on the road going 3-1 and Marquis is perfect 3-0 against the Giants in his career with an impressive 2.56 ERA. In his last six starts, the OVER is 4-2.

Cubs are 5-1 in the last 6 meetings.
The UNDER is 8-3-1 in Marquis' last 12 road starts.

Key Injuries - 3B Aramis Ramirez (.289; personal) is OUT 2 more games.
OF Reed Johnson (.271; back) is on the 15-day DL.
OF Alfonso Soriano (.283; broken hand) is on the 15-day DL.

    PROJECTED SCORE: 4

Giants (-120, O/U 8): Matt Cain has been far from impressive in 2008. Over his last 10 starts, Cain allowed four runs or more five times. Being at home hasn't helped Cain where he's just 2-3 with a 4.47 ERA in eight starts. Cain is 3-2 against the Chicago in his career and Cubs hitters are batting just .207 against him. Despite being inconsistent, the UNDER is 7-3 in Cain's last 10 starts.

Giants are 8-20 in their last 28 home games.
Giants are 2-6 in Cain's last 8 Tuesday starts.

    Key Injuries - NONE

    PROJECTED SCORE: 5
