  • MLB Monday: Keep Playing The Hot Team

    YTD 21-17 +7.14 units
    2* 1-0 +2.0 units
    1* 20-17 +5.14 units

    Faves 6-1 +5.78 units
    Dogs 15-14 +3.51 units
    Totals 0-2 -2.15 units

I won yesterday with the Twins (again!) as they unbelievalbly keep getting underdog numbers despite virtually never losing.

    1* Twins +110
Minnesota is a dog AGAIN! What do they have to do to get respect? With their win yesterday, the Twins have now won 13 of 15 despite being dogs in six of their last seven games (incredible). Minnesota is bearing down on the AL Central lead, is 27-17 at home and is 6-4 in Perkins' starts. Detroit has won five in a row but the last three were home games against the awful Rockies and the Tigers are only 16-23 on the road this year.

    Opinions only:
    Cardinals
    Giants
    Orioles

Love this matchup...Galaraga is also 0-2 vs them this year so they must have something figured out.

Twins are an amazing organization. Their team loses key players almost every season and yet they contend most seasons.

Baseball needs to change their rules. It's unfair to the small market teams that can't compete.

            Frank,

The Marlins are another team that is in this category, along with (to some extent) Oakland. It's also why a free-spending team like the Mets never seems to get over the top.

In baseball, if you develop your own players you can afford to lose guys like Johan Santana and Miguel Cabrera.

I agree. Marlins are another good example.
