I'm in the same boat. The MLB extra innings package skipped the LA games last night and today and the Phillies game today...your guess is as good as mine.
      Great Day To Win

      MLB 2008 (19-23-1) +3.0 units

      NBA 08-09 (10-7) + 1.59 units

      GOY (4-1)

It's BS man...not that I care about them, but I always get blacked out from watching the Padres, Angels, and Dodgers because I guess I'm in an "LA" market here. WTF

Jimmy is directv that bad? I just got it in our new house with the baseball package. I did notice that a lot of the games they have listed are blacked out or not available. Why list them if I can't watch? The other thing I noticed is my local channels will list an HD version but they are greyed out not sure what that is about as I have all the HD channels.

Personally, I don't like DIRECTV. If it wasn't for Sunday Ticket (to watch the Bucs and Eagles...lol), I wouldn't have it. G*d forbid something is wrong with your service because unless you have the monthly protection plan, the people you talk to are complete dummies. I will say though that I
ve seen a few HD channels on digital cable, and I don't think the pitcture is as good as it is with DRIECTV. I just get pissed with all the blackouts, etc. I pay the $12 or whatever it is to get all the Fox Sports channels, this game was on FSSW (HD), and it was blacked out. Why? You will get all the Eagles games so I guess you don't necessarily need Sunday Ticket, but give it a try and see if you like it.

Im at barksdale now so I will need the football package also. I paid 200 for the baseball package then 50 for HD. So far with the way the phillies have been playing it is a waste of money lol.

Oh geez, I've decided to take some time off for ripping this team...lol...did you get the game today?

So you got sent to Barksdale huh...I'm gonna guess you didn't request that place. I'm leaving Vegas next Spring/Summer...Australia is my #1 choice, but it's probably a pipe dream.

It's not Directv fault for the blackout. It's ESPN protecting their 8PM slot.

ESPN BLACKOUT INFORMATION: ESPN maintains their exclusive national broadcast window for all Major League Baseball games on Sunday nights, therefore, no telecast can be made available for out–of–market distribution. As their rights are for night games only, any games which start after 5:00pm ET (2:00pm PT) cannot be distributed out–of–market.

Also, blame MLB for the territorial blackouts. They're the ones who make the rules on that.

Or you can invest a few bucks into FTA and nothing will get blacked out.

No local blackouts, no Saturday afternoon blackouts to protect FOX and no Sunday night blackouts to protect ESPN.

You can also pretty much get every NFL game also with this once you fish for the channels out of their local markets.....baseball not so tough since most games are on FSN and NBA and NHL are on their package channels in order.

You also get every PPV event, every pay channel, every overseas channel, every local channel from the market you desire and best of all it is free!

                            PEACE

directv is awesome, like maxim said, it's not their fault. I've had them for 6 years now and have never had any problems...the best is how easy they make it to move, i've moved 3 times since i've been with them.
                              1 = $25
