BTW, since we don't have the prospects to land a top starting pitcher, could we please use Derrick Lee as trade bait?

That's right, you heard it here 1st. Get rid of this guy. One of the most overrated players in baseball. Yes, he'll have good stats at end of season, but he is the worst clutch hitter I've ever seen, and when it counts, you can depend on him to pop up or hit into a double play. Yes, he plays great D, I know, but pitching wins championships. The Cubs O is fine, and Micah Hoffpauir wouldn't do much worse at the plate than D Lee. I'v ebeen saying it for 2 years now, get rid of Lee!

OMG ... I was just saying this to a buddy the other day ... he is the worst clutch hitter ... if he was traded today i would be delighted ... yes, great D ... but we could get by without that for, like you say, another great starter ... and as you know, we are going to need that second half of this season ...
