jimmy the guy was rookie of the year in 05 and mvp in '06 this isn't some old mo vaughn type 1b we're talking about, yeah he has a ton of k's this year but he's a power hitter and most 40-50 HR. hitters not named albert pujols have high strikeout totals...he's notorious for having better 2nd halfs, he'll be fine he just needs to get that avg. up

Just read the threads. The team is in 1st, Howard is a stud and i never hear the guy do anything but bet against and bitch about the Phillies. You don't have to be a homer to be a fan but you need to be somewhat realistic and he isn't.

The Phillies are 11th in all of MLB in team Era (Not bad in a tough ballpark), 2nd in all of MLB in runs scored, in 1st place, came back from a big deficit last year to win the Division (Amazingly), have back 2 back MVP's (And possibly 3 straight with Utley), all from different positions (Unreal again), they have the Top 2 HR hitters in all of baseball (Sitting 1st & 2nd by themself) and the 2nd and 7th best RBI producers. It wasn't too long ago that the Phillies sucked ass. Now, in a new park, they seem to be heading in a great direction. They also seem to have finally found a great closer as Lidge has found his game again. There are alot of reasons for Phillies fans to enjoy the future and the present right now but LV is a "Fan" that i guess chooses to be totally bitter with them instead. It is like he has taken a stance now against them and he feels like he needs to fight the fight. Why? ... it's your team, try enjoying them for once and cheering them on.

It isn't wrong to say Howard needs to improve his average and stuff but damn, enjoy the guy for what he does great. He has a ROY and a MVP in how many years???
