MLB YTD 14-15 +0.20 units
all plays 1* so far
Faves 4-1 +2.78 units
Dogs 10-12 -0.43 units
Totals 0-2 -2.15 units
This is my first post since a nightmarish 0-3 day last Friday in which I played two dogs in the only games they LOST in both series and somehow managed to have a Rangers game go under.
I'm back with the strongest play I've found so far this year.
2* Twins -111
I've loved playing against Randy Johnson for years as he is always overbet but this game is off the charts:
a) The AL is now 70-53 this year in interleague;
b) The Twins are 22-16 at home while the D-Backs are 15-19 on the road;
c) Minnesota has won three in a row and five of six;
d) Minnesota has scored nine or more runs in four of its last seven games;
e) Johnson is pitching horribly---he has a 7.72 ERA his last three starts and was bombed last out for eight runs and ten hits in only 5 1/3 innings;
f) Baker's not overwhelming but he is very consistent and has an excellent 2.49 ERA in home starts;
g) The D-backs have scored more than three runs only once this week.
Given the relatively low favorite line, all of this is great value.
Opinion only: White Sox (gut instinct only; not enough logic to make it a full play)
