I agree that Paul made the shots when they needed them...however to say that KG got alot of "garbage" points is wrong.

I would have given the MVP to Paul too.

Pierce locked down Kobe when they switched Ray Allen off of defending him and he still averaged almost 20 points a game. The energy it took for him to guard Kobe and then to come up with all the HUGE MUST SCORE points for Boston shows he should have gotten the MVP.

No doubt in my mind Garnett is the reason for the big turnaround this season, but Pierce was the MVP of the playoffs no doubt about it.

His drives to the hoop opened up alot of uncontested mid range jumpers for KG. I would have been fine with either guy getting it but i would have also picked Pierce myself. KG had a big final game to boost the numbers a little. They were up big and KG was everywhere but Pierce (IMO) was the go to guy all series and in the high pressure posessions, he either scored the ball or drove the lane leaving shooters open and spotted up everywhere. Years in Boston meant nothing imo.

You are kidding right?? Paul Pierce is and was an easy choice for MVP. The difference in the series was the Fakers had no answers for him. Anytime he wanted, he took any Faker to the rim and got a bucket or got fouled and got a bucket. Plus he hit CRUCIAL 3's in game 1 and had that monster rejection on Kobe that turned the tide in the game 4 comeback. Garnett was in foul trouble plus he went up against girls in GASOL and ODOM.
