A single bad official can influence a game. A single bad official CAN'T influence a game with a 47-6 (or whatever) discrepancy. HE HAD HELP!!!!

I dont agree. 47-6 can be attributed to one team attacking the basket hard and the other team playing for jump shots. Especially if the team shooting jump shots commits a reasonable amount of fouls early and the driving team plays cleanly. These contribute to a mindset mentality for refs. You get used to blowing the whistle a lot when a player drives to the basket you're going to be more prone to doing so again next time. Particularly when players like pierce are very good at selling fouls.

When the T-Wolves were good a few years ago everyone complained about them not getting calls in the playoffs...Particularly KG. BUT they were a jump shooting team and had only averaged 10-12 attempts a game all year. Stat discrepancies happen. Dont blame fixes simply because you favor one side for whatever reason. Now go find your foil hat you look funny without it on.

There is a big difference in "Fixed in some way" and the whole league being "Rigged".

# 2000, Knicks-Heat, Game 7 ... Knicks advance to the conference finals ... falling out of bounds, Latrell Sprewell awarded a timeout by referee Bennett Salvatore with 2.1 seconds left even though none of the Knicks called for one ... Sprewell admits after the game that he hadn't called a timeout ... the Miami players chase the referees off the court after the game, yelling that they had been robbed ... after the game, Jamal Mashburn tells reporters, "They had three officials in their pocket" and Tim Hardaway refers to referee Dick Bavetta as "Knick Bavetta."

# 2000, Lakers-Blazers, Game 7 ... LA shoots 21 more free throws and rallies back from a 17-point deficit in the final seven minutes ... Shaq plays an illegal defense down the stretch, undaunted ... LA needs a win to stay alive ... from an officiating standpoint, the most one-sided game of the past decade ... at least six dubious calls against the Kings in the fourth quarter alone ...
