Joe I watched that whole Cubs game last night and I know I will probably jinx this squad in the long run here.. but they are a SOLID team and this could be their year that the drought ends IMO. Marquis pitched his ass off and retired like 14 straight at one point or something like that. Marmol is great out of the pen between his fastball, breaking ball, and that slider he throws in he really keeps those hitters guessing. Also Wood closed that game amazingly. Not one hitter even knew what to do and were just wiffing at pitches. What do you think about Wood as your closer? It seems as though he fits pretty well in that role do you like him there or would you prefer to see another guy out of the bullpen in his spot? Also its awesome to see some of the baseball games you select play out. For example, that Texas pick last night I researched it on my own just to see what you may have seen and that Garza dude for the Rays was like lights out vs the Rangers in his career and with how high that Mathis ERA has been this season it would seem like Tampa was definetely the play. Of course I dont ever doubt your bases picks and went with the Rangers and sure enough they got the job easily. Anyway, I have noticed on numerous ocassions this year and previous seasons that sometimes you seem to go against the grain as far as "on naked paper" is concerned with your picks it usually ends up winning and its very impressive to say the least. Or maybe its just fading what I think on the diamond...hahaha... Anyway, thanks for the Cubs winner last night Joe...you are the man!!!
