Must have missed this as I didnt see it....Originally posted by weazel079Why don't they have penalty shots during regulation. The Detroit defenseman purposley slashed Gonchar from getting a free shot at the goal.
They will award a penalty shot on a break away in which the defenceman takes the man down intentionally without touching the puck first....if he hits the puck first and the man goes down second its perfectly legal but like I said this is just generally speaking not sure what happened with that scenerio....SOBER SINCE MARCH 28TH OF 2007!!!

Also if you tie up the stick or whatever without intentionally whacking the guy across the hand or body or whatever that is also legal....did not see the play as I stated though.....Originally posted by weazel079Why don't they have penalty shots during regulation. The one thing I like about playoff hockey is even though I am not a huge fan of make up calls they tend to "fair" things up by the end of the game with equal PP opportunities for each team unless one team is extremely undiscplined thats the exception.....Pens just had a PP and also had a two man PP for 1:30 in the 1st period....Originally posted by weazel079Zebras are fucking the Pens over.
SOBER SINCE MARCH 28TH OF 2007!!!

Any Pens fan or hockey fan in general that has watched every game of the finals will tell you how bad he has played this entire series....he is however a big part of how they got here but has vanashed and done cancerous plays throughout the series....Originally posted by weazel079Don't knock on Malkin he's my favorite NHL player.SOBER SINCE MARCH 28TH OF 2007!!!

when ?
hey weaz just curious what is your interpretation of goal interference. I think the zebras as you call them may have confused you in the last game that went to 3 ot's by calling it twice when neither of them were even close. NOT EVEN CLOSE, and this is a former goaltender speaking.Originally posted by weazel079They missed goal intereference at the beginning of the game and a tripping/take out in the 1st period.
Yes Malkin was a huge part of the team all year but chado is right he not only didn't show up in the finals but actually made plays that hurt his team.
To answer your question on the ice it's really nothing to do with the old building, it's june, and it's hot out, especially up and down the east coast. I remember when carolina won the cup you could actually see slush accumulate when a player went into the boards. THAT WAS BAD !
