What is the entry? Just messing around alittle today and stumbled on this thread. I got rained out from working on my house so I thought I'd do a little horse betting.

Entry means that by betting 3, you get paid whether 3 or 3A wins. I think two horses are coupled as an entry when they have the same owner (or is it trainer?). I'm sure Bobt will have a better answer. :D

By betting the 1 or the 3 horse entry you get both horses running. Usually, it's because they same trainer trains both horses but they have different owners. However, they race "coupled" or together under the same number. Basically, you get 2 horses for the price of 1.
