if you ask me it's a good thing chelios isn't playing for detroit. He is too old and gets caught a lot. Lilja is a well abled defenseman and if anything detroit's defense looked better in there last game without chelios. (especially because they were quicker, which will really help vs pitt) It also let's detroit roll there checking line more often, and again more bad news for Pitt. JMO

Was gonna post the same thing but just seen your post. Definately does not hurt the Wings one bit not having him playing. He is their slowest and worst defenceman out there. Franzen not playing is 100 times worse than no Chelios. GL Kapt!!
