John Maine is the Mets most solid starter, the Mets are hitting as a unit, and they get to face an aging lefty that they all know quite well. This is not a good spot for Glavine, just as it was never a good spot for him as a Met facing his old Braves' teammates.
That coupled with the fact that Delgado, LCastillo, and Alou all have fantastic career numbers against Glavine, and I see no reason that the Mets don't cruise in the early game.
I'm very surprised that the odds for this game are not -180 or -190, and I believe that the Mets are a more talented team starting a more consistent pitcher, and will take advantage of their intimate knowledge of Glavine to take an early lead that Maine can hold.
