Florida has won seven in a row and is a monster dog?? I'll take some of this. While Harang's ERA is decent, the Reds are only 3-5 in his starts including 0-3 in the last 3. Badenhop's raw totals are ugly but his last two starts were decent. Getting this much value on the hottest team in baseball is irresistible.

This is a play against an awful team that is somehow favored on the road. Should Seattle EVER be a road favorite? In this case, they're favored even though Texas has the HOTTER pitcher! Padilla shut out the Mariners in his last start (he lasted 7 innings) and pitched a full nine inning shutout three starts back. That's good enough for me against a Seattle team that can't hit. Bedard is a great pitcher but he can't carry a rotten team and Seatle, even w/yesterday's win, has lost nine of eleven. Texas has won seven of ten.
