Normally the lines posted in high profile games are pretty sharp and don't move much. But for the past week, the initial lines posted on NBA games have been awful and the public has correctly moved them. Examples:
Magic opened at only -2 1/2 Wednesday; line closed at -5
Magic easily covered
Spurs opened at -6 Thursday; line closed at -8
Spurs covered
Jazz opened at -3 1/2 Friday; line closed at -5
Jazz pushed the final line and covered the opener
Cavs opened at -1 Saturday; line closed at -2 1/2
Cavs covered by double digits.
It's still happening. Jazz opened at -3 1/2 today; it's now down to -1 1/2. The books are overrating the importance of their power ratings; at this point of the playoffs motivation and psychology are critical.

I hit a big 3* play on the Cavs yesterday and am now 4-0 on the season on these plays. The following play was originally posted in yesterday's thread before the latest line movement.
1* Lakers +3
The Lakers are playing better than anybody in the playoffs. All four current series opened with the home team winning the first two and losing the third. Of those losers, the Lakers played best and I look for them to bounce back with a road win today. Utah is having a very hard time stopping the give-and-go Kobe and Gasol are running (that's kind of funny since Utah has been running the same play, first with Stockton-Malone and now with Williams-Boozer for years). With motivation and "need to win" leveling off, play the better team.
Baseball opinions only:
I like all these dogs but not enough for full plays
Marlins
Cardinals
Orioles
all are plays against lousy teams that are favored
