  • Lidge imploding......................NOT!!

Anybody noticed the job Brad Lidge is doing out of the pen in Philly?

    8 saves in 8 tries, 16 IP, 7 H, 6BB, 15 K, 0.00 E.R.A.!!!

Change of scenery did dude good. Nobody ever stops to acknowledge the good stuff, only when they crumble, and I thought'd I'd give the man some overdue props.

GPa, I'm a huge Phils fan...his slider is unreal so far this season!

I guess it's kinda hard to hide that I am a Lidge fan. I hated to see him go, but knew it was the only way.

His slider is among the best in baseball, and it was unfortunate the way things developed after Pujols went intergalactic in that playoff game. His lifetime numbers v Pujols are still very good, but people have short memories, and when the bar is set so high, people expect perfection every time out.

Closers have it rough, because every failure is magnified. A good hitter makes an out 7 of 10 times, and its accepted.

I know Lidge will give up a run eventually, and lose a game too, but I just wanted to acknowledge that for now, he is at the top of his, or anyone's , game.
