How do you decide which 4 teams get in? This past year would have been OSU, LSU and who else?

We need an 8 team playoff at least, if not 12 or 16.
The same argument you make for 4 teams could be applied to 12 or 16 also. How do you know who the "13th" team to leave out or the "17th"?

Bottom line is someone is going to feel they got shafted, but at least we'd be making progress imo

I agree with at least 8.16 might be to many but 8 seems to be perfect.

Hell the ncaa basketball has 65 and still pisses teams off. It's never going to be perfect but it can get a whole lot more exciting.

Someone will always feel shafted, even when you have 64 teams. ......but, if there is the top 7, the 8th/9th teams can bitch all they want, they obv. arent top 5, therefore cant complain about not getting a shot!

Its just really funny that the more these schools make, the AD's, the pres. & coaches salaries go up & up and the tuition for the ones who want to get an education pay more each year.

Its nice to see a few more 5 - 5 teams get rewarded with a bowl game ; just love to turn on ESPN & see 14 people in the stands for these games; that includes the band

I say let them keep their AP polls, USA polls & whatever other poles they are puffing.

Base it on some kind of points system where teams cant get away with playing East Bumfuck State every week & be rated #1.

I agree! They'll still be controversy over the top-4 teams. However, most of the controversy is over 3 teams that deserve a chance at the national championship. With a 4 team playoff at least the top teams have a chance. Under the current system the 5th best team usually doesn't deserve the right to play.

Just add the NIT to the extra teams and then let the teams that get shafted there go to the CFI.

I agree with this. Students can't even afford to buy a pack of gum and if they do. "were they get the money?" Schools make millions off thease kids (not just football) and the students get nothing (OH wait they do get an education, but in the mean time they can't live a life also).

I don't buy in to this either. The bowl games take place in Dec/Jan when most schools are on break.

If this is a theory, why do they let schools go t Miaui or Puerto Rico at the end/begining of Nov/Dec when school is in?

And you don't think the NCAA tourney takes away from school?
