Not many worse feelings than to have all your chips riding on B. Wagner in the 9th these days...

Shoe, he was excellent last year, although I will agree that he had better numbers with the 'Stros. He got off to an awful start in '06, culminated in that abysmal Sat. afternoon game where he blew a 4-0 lead in late May to the NYY. But ever since then, he has been one of the best in baseball.
He blew the save tonight, but as you point out, he has been lights out until tonight with no hits given up all year.
If you had them, sorry, let's hope the win it in the bottom of the inning or in extras...!Three Jack's Record http://www.bettorschat.com/forums/sh...10#post1323910

Seems it is always more nerver-racking with him on the mound. I took Wayne's two gamer (Philly & NY) and added Washington. First two in - need the Mets!!!
LET'S GO METS!

Originally posted by 3ebRocksHe blew the save on an unearned run that culminated on a flyball double hit off the end of the bat the fell just out of Beltrans reach. Reyes makes the play on a routine groundball and doesnt throw it in the dirt, its a 1-2-3 inning. Yes, he blew it, no excuses, but it was far from his fault. He started the year btw, by going his first 8 innings without giving up a hit. Dont know how much better than that he can do. So I agree with that middle statement, lights out all year.
I am not arguing that we is having a good year and didn't get much help that inning - all I said was he hasn't been as good since he left Houston and it always seems more nerve-racking while he is on the mound.
Still got the bottom of the 11th.

Originally posted by 3ebRocksSuppose I cant disagree. He has not been the dominant pitcher we saw with the Astros. Has been this year, but this is a very small sampling. As a Met fan I hope he can keep it up. But like I said, Im rooting hard for them tonight but dont get down on Wagner, he got three outs, defense just let him, me and u down tonight. Lets go Mets.
Not rooting against you buddy - runner in scoring position with no outs!
