  • Celtics/Hawks WTF?

That loud thud you heard was the Celtics crashing back down to Earth....

I have $100 to win $160 on the C's. Not sure if that was so wise right now.

so far NO TEAM has covered an 8, 8.5, or 9 point spread in the playoffs. that seems to be the magic number for the books right now. you figure the celts with all that talent would wipe out the hawks, but are they playing like the pistons and resting on their laurels?

This series and the Detroit series are entertaining for the fans. I'd like to see one of the underdogs steal the series

I BELIEVE MY LAKERS COVERED THE FIRST TWO HOME GAMES AT 8.5 EVEN AS HIGH AS 9.5

This is a bigger problem for the Celtics than it is the Pistons because the playoff experience just isnt there for the Celtics.....Boston should get by the Hawks 4-2 but I think they might not get out of the next round

IMO playoff experience isn't a factor. Celtics are a veteran team. Allen 12 years NBA experience. Garnett 13. Pierce 10. Their point guard only had 2 turnovers with 12 assists last game.

Playoff experience is overrated. Paul has ZERO experience. He's schooling Kidd. Kidd has a huge advantage in playoff experience.

Show me a team who cruised to a title the first time around? You might be correct who knows but off the top of my mind I know teams need to go through the playoff grind for a few years before getting to the top.

Experience might not catch up with them this series but it will play a factor at some point IMO

                          PEACE

                            In basketball or any sport?

The 76ers have less playoff experience than Boston. It doesn't seem to effect them.

The St Louis Rams immediately come to mind. They went from 4-12 to 13-3 and a Superbowl win.

Aren't they gaining experience as they progress through the playoffs.

Yes you are spot on with the Rams. That team came from nowhere to win it all. I was referring to basketball only because it seems every champion at some point takes their lumps for a few years in the playoffs before winning a title....Celtics can do it but I dont think they will get by the Cavs let alone Cavs/Pistons/West Champ.....if they do I will tip my hat to them.
