Im not gonna tout the Pistons as the best team in the NBA at the moment but I think we can all agree nobody will be shocked if this team wins a championship with the talent they have....they can play with anyone because of their defense

I do not think it is a question of do they have the talent, but rather do they care.

Chauncy Billups and Rasheed Wallace are the keys to the team. Billups does not seem to play in the first half of a game very often. He takes very few shots and saves his best for the second half. At that age, I dont necessarily blame him saving something for later, but he is not the same player when he comes out for the second half of a game.

Rasheed is his own story. The man is an absolute beast who can dominate when he wants to, whine when he wants to, and take play soff when he wants to. He reminds me of Randy Moss. You dont know what kind of an effort you will get. Aside from this, he was the key to the comeback. He hit three big threes in the 3rd and proved why he can dominate in a game.

My question is this.... When you go up against a team that has desire and a handful of talent, can you afford to joke around and not play seriously the whole game? I thought Philly had a chance in this game if they came out in the 2nd half and withstood the first 6 minute run the Pistons would throw at them. They proved they were a young team not capable of doing so. Philly might be a little ways away from seriously competing, but they are turning heads and looking impressive doing so. The Pistons will not win another championship with this attitude.

after reading what everyone had too say, it's time for the real lowdown. pistons do rest on their laurels. i've watched a lot of their games this year and i hate too say it , but billups is not as good as he was the last 5 or 6 years. he has had more turn overs than ever. his assists are down as well. also he has been beaten up by miller. not a good matchup for him. did detroit make a mistake giving him that big contract last year? i honestly believe this should be the last harrah for these guys. if they don't win it all it's time too break things up. i've never been a rip hamilton fan. how many open 5-7 foot jumpers can 1 man miss in a game. i can't stand flip, he seems too be lost when he gets to the playoffs. i've seen him get out coached too many times, even with the t-wolves. hoping they bring in some one with fire like bill laimbeer. maybe they should play the young guys, stuckey, maxiell, johnson, afflalo, and samb. they could be the nucleous for a lot of years. after a year or 2 of play bring in a few good veterans and see what happens.

They will get it together and pound Orlando next round.
Give the Sixers some credit for playing hard. Orlando is not ready yet.
