  • NBA, NHL, MLB Plays 18-6 last 24

Took a loss yesterday with the Hornets over. Never really had a chance from the opening tip. Got it wrong and will use that game to hopefully make a better selection for game 4. My hockey selection pushed as it ended 3-2 with a total of 5.

    NBA
The Orlando/Toronto game has landed within a few points of this total each game this series. I think this one goes over a little bit convincingly. Last game was under and I dont see two games in a row in this series going under the total as that has not happened in over 3 seasons.

    701/702 Orlando/Toronto Over 203.5

Utah flat out didnt show up last game here in Utah. Tracey McGrady does not win playoff series. Utah got embarrassed, not necessarily by the score as it was a very tight game, but rather because they were expected to win after dominating in Houston. The white out was in full effect in Utah and they let themselves and their fans down. I expect a much different outcome there today.

    708 Utah -8

    NHL
They priced the Flyers/Canadiens series at 5 1/2 and again I like the value. Regular season this total is 6. Both teams can put the puck in the net and they do so against each other with 5 of the last 7 going over. I see that trend continuing here.

    53/54 Flyers/Canandiens Over 5.5 -105

Takin a bit of a weird approach on this next one. I am going with the under 1 1/2 in the first period of the Red Wings game. Detroit came out flying in the first period last game establishing a 3-1 lead. Three more goals were scored in the second period and the third period was scoreless. I dont see this one being quite so wide open to start because the Avs must know that they will be in trouble in this series playing that brand of hockey.

    Avs/Wings Under 1 1/2 -140 First Period

    MLB
    923/924 Boston/Tampa Over 9 1/2
Love both lineups. Not thrilled with either pitcher.

    905 Arizona -136
Love Owings at this price. Padres cant hit a lick.

    Best of luck everyone.

Cant get out of my own way in baseball. 0-2

Hockey plays are strong, like they have been lately. 2-0

NBA I am looking for the split with a Utah ATS win. Missed the over by a couple.

Sticking with hockey and basketball for a while as far as posting until I string some wins together on my non posted MLB plays.

Still 20-9 last 29 or 69% over the last 10 days. Solid.

Rangers blew a 3-0 lead in game 1. Thats unacceptable. The call on Crosby with 1:43 was equally unacceptable though. And I am telling the truth here when I say that if Crosby was on the Rangers and that call happened I would be saying the same thing. I am a very passionate fan but I am also very objective. But you just cant make that call. About a week ago somebody posted a thread in which the point of it was a message to the refs to let the players play. And I agreed on that thread and it had nothing to do with the Rangers. Flyers actually I think and I cant stand the Flyers. Point being, Crosby is a heck of a player. No doubt about that. But there is no reason to help him along by blowing your whistle every time an opponent rubs him. Just ridiculous. And sour grapes, sure. But legitimately so, IMO.

Now as far as your Habs, here is your problem, again, IMO. They were somewhat fortunate (not going to say lucky, instead I will use the word fortunate) to have gotten out of game 1 with a victory. I think they were outplayed a good portion of that game and had just enough time left to get the equalizer in regulation. Then all the credit goes to them in OT as they quickly took a 1-0 series lead. But, in game 2, they again were outplayed for a good portion of the game. And if these two games were in Philly I would be a lot less worried for your Habs. But now they have lost home ice advantage and from what I saw they are actually fortunate to be tied 1-1. That could spell disaster going to Philly.

I am rooting for the Habs though as I have stated in a couple threads. And obviously I am rooting for the Rangers. Would love to see an original 6 matchup in the Eastern Conference finals.

Game 1 we stole, were out played, and were "fortunate" to have won no doubt. But as far as tonight dont know what game you were watching cause we definately dominated this entire game from puck drop to final whistle. Was a classic case of having the most chances in the offensive zone for a signifcant amount of time but being unable to bury it and then the opposition comes down on one shift and scores one the other way. Biron stood on his head and stole this game single handedly. But thats playoff hockey and we both know that. Need to win at least 1 of 2 in Philly now..

Honestly, I didnt watch the whole game. I was flipping between that and basketball. But every time I turned it on, the Flyers were in Montreal's zone. Literally, everytime. So I just figured thats how the game was played but I guess I shouldnt be assuming. Okay then that changes my opinion just a bit as I stand corrected. Gotta get one in Philly. No doubt. Price scaring you a little?

By Price I mean the goalie, not the odds.

Plekanec missed a break away in the 2nd period to tie the game...

Plekanec missed a wide open net with 30 seconds left in the 2nd period to tie the game where he shot it across the goal into Biron instead of into the wide open net.

Kostitsyn missed a fucking wide open deak in front of Biron with like 10 minutes left....

Kostitsyn got a beautiful pass from Kovalev on the PP with like 5 minutes left in the 3rd and he had a wide open net in which the puck slid underneath Birons five hole and pinged off the post and came out which also would have fucking tied the game!!!

We out shot them 36-23 and literally dominated so much but couldnt capitalize I wanted to fucking puke. I was watching the game with my Pops and told him the one thing in sports that is so important is "CAPITALIZATION". You fail to capitalize you get burnt and thats what happened to my Habs tonight in the rudest fashion as I am still relling thinking of at least 7-10 opportunities we squandered away. But like I said it was a classic example of didnt capitalize and then the Flyers would come down on some rush and score right after and Brion did steal the show. Thats playoff hockey and we must rebound.

PS - No I am not worried about Price at all. I am however worried about our power-play sucking ass and not being able to capitalize on chances WAY more than Price. He will be fine we need to fucking score and give him a lead and he plays his best..
