Dude, IMO, this is more than a slump. He looks clueless at the plate. The guy gets 2 days off, and in those 2 days, gets 3 PH opportunities and Ks 3x...he is brutal.

Wow you guys are brutal.....Im willing to bet anything a healthy Ryan Howard at years end will have 35 HR and 100 RBI and thats a safe estimate as I really think hes capable of 40-120....what do you want this guy to do? Hit 350 with 70 bombs and 200 ribs?

This isnt the first time he has started slow....if Im not mistaken he has never started quickly out of the box

I've watched all, but 1 game this year...yes, he slumped last year to start, BUT HE WAS HURT...this year he looks totally lost...when I saw he is King once every other AB, I'm not joking.

No flaw brother....I meant if he's hurt he wont put up 35-100.....I know he is healthy and as long as he stays that way the numbers will be there when its all said and done.....I just think you expect way too much of him

All I expect is for him to not K 250+ times/year...he is brutal...I would be happy with 35 and 100 this year.

Who cares if he Ks 300 times.....hes a cleanup hitter....would ya feel better if ya had Placido Palanco battin cleanup? He'll his 300 with about 20 Ks all season but yel be lucky to get 10 homers and 50 ribs

I guess I just have to be straight forward with you.....it doesnt matter if he Ks between 150-200 times as long as he hits atleast 250 with the 35 bombs and 100 rbis......sluggers K the most and thats the way its been for as long as I can remember.....trust me you dont want a Todd Helton off the roids because to me thats what it sounds like you want Howard to be

I dont even watch that crap and the Wings are playing with a decent shot at a title....I swear to God I get excited for World Cup soccer more than I would ever follow hockey.
