1-1 Last night, winning with the Flyers over and losing with the Jazz. They just didnt show up. Enough said.
Going to stick with a series I have been handicapping well. Hornets/Mavericks. Not going to venture a side play on this one because my first thought is to go with the Hornets, but in doing so I would be going against some serious history. Hornets havent won in Dallas in 11 meetings and in looking at the games, at least the more recent ones played while Chris Paul has been on the team, they havent even been all that competitive. But with that being said, the Hornets offense is potent and I believe will continue to be. And part of that potency in this series is due to Dallas' ineptness on the defensive end. Perhaps the crowd will give the Dallas defense a boost and the Hornets dont put up the 112 points that they averaged in New Orleans. But I also believe that Dallas will improve on the offensive end themselves. This total is sub 200and after the first two games I cant say I know why. Again, maybe the bookies are tempting you to take the over but like I said in my last post on the Hornets, they were also tempting you to take the Hornets. And the Hornets cashed. So I think the over will also.
525/526 New Orleans/Dallas Over 196
Onto hockey. I am a huge Rangers fan and I am going to just watch this first game with the intent on seeing how the game is played and maybe giving me some ideas how I should proceed on the wagering end of it in the following games. But the Stars/Sharks series begins tonight also in San Jose and I like the over here. In 5 of the last 7 in San Jose, at least 5 goals were scored and in 11 of the last 14 played at either site, at least 5 goals were scored. Of the 11, only 3 of them landed on 5 exactly so the over has cashed 8 of 14 total. Not a staggering stat by any means, but it is worth noting that both the Anaheim/Dallas series and the Calgary/San Jose series both cashed overs 60% of the time with a couple pushes. I would rather it at 4 1/2 of course, but I am going with the over here, grabbing a plus price.
7/8 Dallas/San Jose Over Over 5 +115
Best of luck to everyone.
