Chad , I really think a Penguins/Red Wings Series has destiny written all over it. The Mighty High Flying Red Wings against Crosby, Malkin and the young Pens would be a GREAT sell to the viewing audience imo. I really think it would build some interest in Hockey again down here in the States. I know i for one would be interested in checking that Series out. I'm going to root hard for that matchup. PS - MR PAIN I love the Pens. I am not personally betting until CFL season in June but if I was it would be a nice wager on the Pens for sure as I feel they win this series quite easily. As far as the West final I like the Wings but in no way would want to lay the -220 over a Stars team who has beat the Ducks and Sharks which is VERY impressive. The value is clearly with the Stars if anything but that one is very tough to call. GL which ever you guys choose and looking forward to another great CFL season in about a month and half or so!!!

I did throw 50 on det to win the series and I may go a little more on that too. I'll be the first 1 to tell you marty turco is one of my favorite goaltenders, and one good one but.................chad do you remember any of the talks we had during the season.

Turco just can't beat the wings, I don't know what it is but everyone has a team or something that they just can't beat,ya know, his is the wings. Turco is 2-10-5 all time vs det, although the 2 wins did come this year. Turco is 205-93-21 vs everyone else in the NHL career, and here comes the bad part, (for dallas) marty turco has NEVER won a game at "the joe" in detroit.
(now you probably remember us talking about it) hard to believe a guy that good could be in the league this long and never win a game at detroit 0-7-2 lifetime @ det. Even though It's glad to see we agree on the pens, but I do think it's worth a little something to take det for the series because they will be heavy juice @home anyway, which is when I would take them. So I'll just go for the series and leave the idividual games alone. NO I'll probably parlay them with pitt now that I think about it. And Frank you say that someone would have lost $2200 in the chase for the Yanks to close out that series a few years back but you failed to mention all the profit they would have gained from 1975 (the last time it was done with the Islanders) up until 03 or 04 when the Sox did it. Thats almost 30 years of team closing out series up 3-0 which would have profited well over the $2200....

An interesting fact that was discussed on Mike and Mike this morning. In the NHL only 2 teams have come back from 0-3. The first was 1942 the second 1975. A span of 33 years. This season it's been 33 years since the last occurrence.

Yes thos are the two. It may me due in the "NHL" bit if we are looking at a common pattern amongst the MLB, NHL, and NBA it happened just a few years back with the Red Sox in the MLB so in general it happends every 30 years or so by trend. So it shouldnt happen again until approx 2033 with the Red Sox doing it in 2003. The chase is on for bothe the Wings and the Pens to advance to the Cup. Free $200 bucks right here fellas!!! GL!!!
