I hear ya'. It just irritates me at times that not a single thread gets started about the real douchebags in sports like Chad Johnson but others get started about a team hitting a 3 late with a starter in. I think many others deserve all of our negative sports frustration and those are the ones who never seem to get it.

i dont think celts play in classless manner they just playin the game...if someone doesnt like it stop them from scorin then BUT them bein on floor that late w. game won is dumb.. u do risk injury let some other guys play, actually boston does play lot of guys but in general when teams leave starters out there i always think why would coach do that...agree they shoulda been on bench at that point but nothin really classless

Although my hoops experience goes nowhere near the NBA as a player I have played on different levels and in lots of tournaments...On every team I played on that ended up winning a championship or tournament there was one mentality they shared in common, BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF THE OPPONENT FROM START TO FINISH. You have to stay in kill mode all the time, as soon as you relax you're giving up a little of your edge. The Big 3 should probably come out late for injury purposes, but I'd leave them out there to insure ATL didn't get an ounce of confidence,rythm or flow going before the next game.

I agree 100% with this statement. NO LEAD IS SAFE IN THE NBA. If your on the other side and they're bombing three's its a different story. This society is becoming to politically correct. You hurt my feelings when you beat me by 30. I could just cry.

During the game last night the annoucers stated that Doc felt the Celtics didn't play a complete game in game 1. that they coasted in the 4th quarter and he wanted "playoff intensity" the entire game, especially the 4th quarter....thus your answer, even though they where up by 20, Doc wanted the team to play with high intensity the entire game and not coast in the 4th.

Sports teams can't win. If they run up the score their called classless. If they blow a big lead they're called chokers. Sports fans and media want it both wasy.

Sometimes the players get caught up in the moment when it's a blowout. They're having fun. I didn't watch the game or hear anything afterwards. What was the reaction of the Hawks players? That tells if they felt the Celtics were running up the score.
