Im on a bit of a losing streak with my Edge plays here, same as Mets actually. I would love to just take Santana tonight and call it a day but presently he is at -220 at two of my books so I am not going there as a play even though I am pretty sure they should win.
The total is at 8 and I like the under. This guy Redding isnt half bad. Florida has been putting up a boatload of runs against most clubs and he faced them twice giving up 1 and then 4 ER in a total of 14 innings. Mets havent been swinging the bats well and Santana is probably just what the doctor ordered to come in and pitch a solid game as we know he is very very capable of doing. Like it to be a low scoring game.
955/956 NYM/NATS Under 8 -110
Good luck to all.

I gotta whine here a second so I apologize for it but I gotta say it.
I posted the Mets under 8 tonight and as we know, 9 runs were scored. I was 5-2 on my Edge plays 3 days ago and now I am 5-5. Luckily, none of the plays were favorites over 120 but still, I am very disappointed with the .500 record in this program.
Specifically though, I have to complain about tonight's outcome for three reasons.
1. The Nationals scored 2 runs. Both runs were driven in by the PITCHER of all people. To add insult to injury, the hit came with two outs against Johan Santana.
2. For the last 3 games the Mets couldnt get a clutch hit for anything. Tonight they are up 3 runs with two outs in the ninth. With two strikes, Ryan Church strokes a 2 run single. Im a Met fan, but for Egde purposes, that was frustrating.
3. The other 5 runs the Mets scored were scored, and get this, WITHOUT a ball being hit out of the infield. Thats right, there was not hit to the outfield in the mix. Not even a sacrifice fly. The five runs came as a result of infield singles, physical and mental errors and Jose Reyes staying out of the double play due to his speed on a routine double play ball.
The under was the right call, I still believe, but it lost and I apologize if even ONE person played it. Thats all I have to say, will try to come up with a more successful outcome tomorrow.
On a brighter note, my non Edge plays are 17-4 last 21.
Good luck everyone."The power of accurate observation is frequently called cynicism by those who don't have it." George Bernard Shaw
