They need the future QB, and some free agents. Not some free agent QB and some future defensive players. Redman is decent but he's not a franchise QB, all bad teams become good when then their superstar QB arrives. Aikman, the Mannings, etc etc.

Exactly. Sure there's a chance Matt Ryan could be the next Alex Smith, but you have to take that chance. You pick the best QB and hope you're right.
