Hey" Goldvike" and "easy cash"! Maybe you guys can explain this to me! I saw the line on the "Minn.,Atl."game sunday in football and the Vikes are being favored by only 4 points. I s this for real?Is this a scare tactic like the "Green Bay,Chicago" game? I see Minn. creaming Atlanta like they did San Fran.!!!!!!! I am going to this game just for that reason. Moss is going to have a field day no matter who is quarterbacking. And Vick isn't going to be playing1 What gives???????????? Any info on this from anybody would be greatly appreciated!!! Now let me go call my realtor,maybe I can sell my house before the game and drop a load on this!!!!! :confused: :confused: :confused:

Atlanta is 3-0 ATS in its last 3 games with Minnesota and is 6-1-1 ATS in its last 8 games as an underdog of 3 points or less.

Hard to favor Minny by more simply because the public still doesn't respect Frerotte. Plus they're on the road, even if it is in a dome. They didn't get any respect last week either vs SF. That line should have been 3, but it was just 1.5. I haven't decided on this one yet but Minny might be worth a look. Just don't go crazy. ATL is talented enough to win this one if Johnson plays well. Still don't know if this Viking pass rush is good or not. We'll find out these next two games. Good luck.

The Falcons are 29th in pass defense [dead last in interceptions] and are left with Tod McBride [ 6` 1`` 208 ] who has a broken hand , and nickel corner Kevin Mathis [ 5`9`` 185 ] to cover Moss & others with .

The One Intangible of all

ALL LONG LONG LONG OFF SEASON YEAR LONG....The Vikes had to endure watching the Vick highlight of RUNNING through their defense to win a game Minn had in their pocket....in OT. The Vikes do have a good defense this year after totally cleaning house on that horrid excuse for a secondary and brought in some good free agent signings and turned it all over to OLeary who has a very good defensive concept! I doubt Doug Johnson can do a lot of damage in comparison to what Minn will do to the Falcons defense. REMEMBER TOO that Culpepper could have played vs the 49rs last week but they should rest him again to start. I do not see 4 points as much of a hurdle this week! FOOL ME ONCE (Saints vs Colts).....FOOL ME TWICE (Bears vs Packers).....No thanks.....throwing my team bias out the window....I will be on Minn -4 with a 5* pick.

I have to admit that I was in that same frame of mind , not saying that the Birds will get killed just that by any strech of the imagination Gus or Dante [even hurt] are far better than Johnson could ever hope to be. Couple that with Moss being a giant compared to these guys [and a new attitude] plus all your aforementioned outlooks , I see a solid win here .

The line that seems real funny to me this weekend is the Was/Phil game. I coud see Phil being a 2 1/2 to 3 pt favorit at home, but 5 1/2???????? Washington IMO has better CB's than Phil has WR's. A slight edge over Phil in the running game. Washington has better WR's than Phil CB's, and LB's that I feel can contain D Mac. This game has the smell of a trap all over it.

The other game is Seattle + 2 vs Green Bay. These two games just don't look right. Anyone have any thought's?

We know they picked up a few good draft prospects and a few decent free agents and a few guys actually matured but check this out :

I am going to wait till I am in the dome watching the teams warm up before I place my wager!I don't know if Atlanta has something up it's sleeve or not.There has to be an explanation for the low line though!Maybe the books are trying to mess with our psyche?Also,I have been mooching long enough.I am going to try my hand at hockey picks this year!!! Sometimes a play that is strong on one side is just that. Give Atlanta a little credit for worrying them in the first half but that only made more money available to be had for the second half! It does not always work this way obviously but I think it is still early enough in the seson where these blowouts are just what they indicate they should be regardless of the spreads. around the half-way point....and ESPECIALLY the last part of the season....LOOK OUT FOR THESE TYPE OF LINES!!
