Why - #1 at 19yrs old he is a road course phenom

* he will pilot the #16 Roush/Fenway car,that is normally piloted by Biffle (duh THEY chose the KID over Biffle for this race)
* in the 3 previous Nascar races ran here at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez road course,the WINNER has came from the first three starting spots . Braun will be starting from the Pole having beat out 9 time TransAm Champion , Scott Pruett
(who starts in 2nd)

* ALL 3 of the previous races have been WON by FIRST TIME Winners in this series .
2005 - Martin Truex 1st win
2006 - Denny Hamlin 1st win
2007 - Juan Montoya 1st win

And, lastly because I flat ass just like the kids chances

Edwards +700 (starts 3rd but didn't look that good in practice w/a 18th and 24th place lap times)

Marcos Ambrose +600 (starts 4th and had consistant lap times w/4th and 5th place laps)

Boris Said +600 ( ain't feelin' it)

A.Fernanez +3000 (sm. Play) Mexico's favorite son in racing

Dawg, Said has something to prove and I believe he challenges for the win. Fernandez probably has the best car, but has never challenged for the win, so I'd throw him out. Ambrose looks good, but hasn't ever challenged and I don't really see him doing so, same with Edwards. Pruitt is the only other guy I'm worried about. Think he runs away with it imo

Kb - I pretty much went through the same thought process ... 'cept that Edwards has shown improvement every year and the fact that the No.3 starting spot has been pretty LUCKY here . I think Pruett chokes his way out of the Win , same as last year when he had the Pole. Plus,the fact that Pruett will run in the TransAm race before the Nascar race today , being older I think it will take it's toll on him .
Your boy , Checkered Flag or Crash Busch , has a better chance of doing the latter before the former IMO

So ... EDWARDS will be my backup with 2 units and a Fantasy Pick w/Fernandez at 30/1 ($5/$150)
