The game today is going to be played at Chase field in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. The weather is expected to be 80F with 6% RH and the ball tends to fly out of this field when the roof is open as it should be tonight.
Chris Young takes the hill for the Padres while his stuff has been less than stellar. I watched his last start vs the Dodgers and he wasn't fooling anyone where his fastball was reaching 85 MPH tops. Not the same pitcher from last year. His also needed an extra day off from elbow tightness. Chris is also an extreme flyball pitcher averaging two flyballs per groundball. Expect him to get hit.
Edgar Gonzles will be pitching for the D-Backs. Though the Padres are terrible offensivley, I think today is a good opportunity to find the scoreboard, and often. He is also a flyball/finesse pitcher who doesn't miss many bats. Expect some scoring tonight.
