When the roof is open in Phoenix the ball will fly out of the park. Warm and dry weather has resulted in good ball flight over the past two days at Chase field.
Today A. Cook takes the hill against the hot D-Backs. Cook is an extreme ground ball pitcher posting a 2.65 groundball/flyball ratio over his career. He doesn't give up the long ball often either averaging 12.1 innings per home run. I think he is the right guy to slow down the hot hitting D-Backs. His opponent will be Ed. Gonzalez who pitched well in his last start against the Rockies. He is a flyball and finesse pitcher, so the Rocks will definetley get their hacks in, and hopefully hit a few long balls on their way to victory.
