  • The Edge Day 2 Thread

4-2 yesterday with the two losses coming in the ninth inning.SD/SF 6-1 in the top of the ninth(we had under 7.5) and they score 5 runs. That one I can live with because if they would have only scored one run it would have went over BUT
the Clev under 8.5 was almost a lock until 7 runs in the ninth.2-1 in the top of the ninth and all hell broke loose.Good call on the total Bryce thats just one that didn't pan out.We win that game 99.9% of the time. Still a winning day so lets keep it up.Post all your opinions here and we will put all the picks in another thread. We have some early games so let's do it.

Im going with under 9 1/2 runs in the Mets game. Moyer has had much success against the Mets in his career posting a 5-3 career record (not that impressive, I know) but more importantly a 2.62 ERA in 11 career starts. At Shea, in 6 starts, he has a 2.81 ERA. They just dont seem to score and runs for him when he pitches against the Mets, making a side play too close to call. Perez, in contrast, was 0-2 against the Phils last year with a 5.40 ERA. There isnt a ton of value in taking the Phillies today, plus its the Mets last home opener at Shea so I see Perez and the team being pretty fired up, so I will take

          Phillies/Mets Under 9 1/2 -110

Total dropped to 8 1/2 Under Even making it a no play for me. No play on Mets/Phillies from Rocks unless the Phillies guy has a play.

Thanks for the pick tyler. In the future I think we should post the line you are getting with the pick. Not just talking about you Tyler, Im just saying as part of something we do on this thread we should put the line up. Again, thanks for the pick. Lets go Brewers.

I guess I must be the only person on BC who likes the Reds today. Everyone in the Kruise is on the Brewers and so is the Brewer rep in this thread. Oh well my pick is Reds -110.

                  Edge record 1-0

                  Good luck everyone

4/8 edge play edge record 1-0
no play, maybe lean on dodgers billingsley -120

only reason for the no play is I have learned to stay away from real life situations. (it's just a game)
Doug Davis is going to pitch his last game tonight for the d'backs before going under for thyroid surgery to remove a cancerous tumor. With that kind of emotion and nerves who knows what will happen.

the reason for the lean on dodgers is 1) they alternated wins and losses so far and lost last night. 2) one of the few teams with a winning record at chase field recently, I believe they have won 8 of the last 12 there. and 3) Mr. billingsley in 6 games, 4 starst in arizona is 4-0 with a 2.70 era. (only negative might be that he has already come out of the pen twice this year)

with all this said this would normally be a play on the dodgers, but who knows zona could just go out there and pull a let's win one for doug. Then again they might not care much about baseball tonight considering a teammate is going to have a cancerous tumor removed tommorrow.
let's see what the dodgers rep has.......... GL guys

My Pick Tonight Is Under In Atlanta And Colorado.it Is Supposed To Be Very Cold Almost At Freezing In Colorado Tonight.this Means Hitters Will Not Be Hitting Very Well.its Always In The Pitchers Favor When Its This Cold.juriens Pitching For The Braves Is A Rookie But He Is A Very Good Pitcher.see This Game Going Under The Total Of 9.5

                              Play Atlanta Colorado Under 9.5
