  • World's Greatest NFL System

I post this every year, but I never can remember the results when asked. So I'm digging up archives to post the game by game results. If or when the system play comes up this season, I'll be able to retrieve this thread for use.

I have said that the last time it lost was 1977. It was actually 1978 as I have found; assuming of course that I don't find any more recent losers, which I don't expect to find.

So here's the plays since it's last loss in 1978 (0-1 that year).

    1979: CHARGERS (+4) 35, Steelers 7 Win
    1980: No plays
    1981: EAGLES 20, Bills 14*

*Unsure of the line here. If anyone knows, please post. The game took place week 3 of the 1981 season. The Eagles had gone to the Superbowl the previous year after finishing 12-4, but the Bills were 11-5 the previous year. Both were 2-0 going into the game and the Bills had routed both their first two opponents exceeding the 30-10 mark in both games.

With that knowledge, I would not think the Eagles were more than a 6-pt fave, but I'd like to know. More to follow.

I've never lost with it either. I developed it in 1983 and have always won. But so far in my google research, I have found some discrepancies over and against that which I "recall".

For example, I don't recall a loser in 1978. At the time I researched it, the last loser was 1977.

Secondly, if in fact the 1982 Packers play is a loss, I most definately do not recall that one. Maybe the Pack is an underdog in that game and, therefore, a winner.

Third, I definately remember having the Eagles +15 over Miami (Mia won 24-23) around 1983, but I haven't found that game in the archives yet.

Whatever the case, I know I haven't personally lost a bet on this system. One of my biggest bets ever was the Monday nighter in 1985 (Chi @ MIA), and I haven't lost since. If the archives pulls up a loser since then, there would've had to have been a very solid reason I was not on the game; or, basing the last 25 years solely on memory, I may have missed a criteria (for example, only bet the play as an underdog). Not sure. I know it's been money in the bank since for 25 years.

*PLAY AGAINST any NFL Team that scored 30 or more in each of their last two games while allowing 10 or less in those same two games...

            ...IF...

...they are now playing a team OUTSIDE of their division.

Just found it. The Phi-MIA game was in 1984. I was strong on Philly and by memory thought it was a system play. It was not.

Mia had won 44-24, 38-7, and then 31-17 leading up to the Philly game; not techically a play.

Here's another database dating back to 1983. It should aid in your research.

Not a system play. Denver and KC are in the same division.
