the celtics have been very motivated to win meaningless regular season games. the playoffs will be a different animal, especially for alot of these guys. not saying whats gonna happen either way, but they have put in quite a bit more effort than other teams do during a loooong and meaningless regular season.

what happens in playoffs yet to be seen but a pro team w. guys makin millions should be motivated for every game and boston has been all yr they never seem to have an off nite like all teams do...they bury shit teams and find way to win vs good teams....vets like cassell and pj brown makes their bench strong they will be a tough out and bein a huge cavs fan id still think celts should win east but in a 7 game series anythin possible

The Celtics bench has been unbelieveable this year and nobody wants to recognize it. They literally go 12 deep!

not exactly goin out on limb there u should be given 5-1 if they do go 7 its not like u makin tough bet...honestly, 1st round they should sweep or maybe lose one, id think cavs get 2 wins at most so what so great bout prediction that the only series this would be a factor would be in east finals

There are 30 teams in this league and Boston doesn't have a single player in the top 34 of minutes played per game. They have not been killing themselves to get where they are at and they will have plenty of time to rest in the next week. I'm sure they will be ready.

once again you hear what you want to hear about your home teams. i didn't say they wouldn't be motivated for the playoffs. what i said was that they have been very motivated, especially compared to teams like det and san antonio, to win regular season games. you'll see the bench exploding when they make a layup up 20 pts against milwaukee. you wont see det or sa doing that. they've been there done that.

they have played this regular season with a game 7 intensity every game. not saying that there is anything wrong with that, but lets see what happens when it gets matched.

i never said they wouldn't be ready for the playoffs. i'm sure kg is very ready, he's had plenty of time considering he's made it past the 1st round ONCE.

The 1st one suggested that things would be "Different" in the playoffs molta. The only thing different from motivated is unmotivated. It was an easy assumption for me to make based on your words.

As far as part two goes, it simply isn't true and the minutes played will show you that the bench isn't playing when they only have a 20 point lead. That is totally false.

was just pointing out the obvious that playoff basketball is totally different than the regular season (b2b, road trips, ot night before, etc). guess it came out wrong.

I love it. Why are people so miserable towards teams sometimes. It amazes me. Who cares if they are having fun and please save me the "Professional" speech.

Hey, never once on this forum have i said Boston is winning the title. Not once. I have picked the Lakers several times. I do think Boston has a great chance though and they have given their fans no reason to think otherwise.

lakers would be my pick also, however my take on the celtics chances has increased as of the last month or so.
