If you think any Big Time coach's main goal is to simply make it to the Final Four, I think you're sadly mistaken. You are there to win championships! You have a better opportunity to win Championships at Kansas than you do at Oklahoma State. Kansas is a top 5 job in the country. You don't leave a top 5 job in the country for Oklahoma State period unless you are forced out.

IMO he probably didnt get a fair shake, but shit, he's getting paid the remaining 3 years of his contract to sit on his ass....not a bad deal.

PS...Self will not coach at OSU next year.....he's got a juggernaut at KU and most everyone is coming back.

Gottlieb said that it would take a $5 million buyout of Tubby Smith's Minnesota contract to get him. Oil is $125 a barrel though so if they want him I'm sure T-Bone Pickens will have no problem writing the check. I am pretty disappointed about Sean's leaving OSU though. I think OU was 5-0 against him.
