Maybe if Piniella blows up in the first week instead of in May, you guys win a 100?

I had the pleasure of working with Sweet Lou at an autograph show when I was about 15. Sat next to him for 3 hours passing him balls and photos to sign. Did that for about 3 years and met over a 100 sports guys and gals and I have to say, he probably was in the top 5 of the most pleasant, down to earth, unpretentious sports celebrities. Since then, I have always rooted for Piniella led teams.

Sweet! How many years ago was that? I used to be a Griffey Jr fan for a while so I've always liked Piniella.

I would say about 20. Its when he was managing the Yankees. A close family friend owned a baseball card shop so for like 5 bucks an hour I got to sit next to the celebs and keep the line moving. Great stuff for a 15 year old sports fan.

And the unfriendliest was probably Warren Spahn.

Something tells me you won't be around much this summer.

Enjoy that loss while you can.

Difference between Cubs fans and Sux fans.....

Cubs lose yesterday and we could give two shits what the minor league team on the south side did.

Sux lose yesterday (expected by the Sux fans) but it's a good day because they were glued to the TV sets watching the Cubs game. That's sad.

Carry on Sux fans...do what you do best!

I got more calls from my Sux buddies laughing about the Cubs loss, and couldn't understand why they weren't upset that their "Ace" who got a fat extention last year got SHELLED opening day.

                              Sux fans are pathetic.
